Shaker Card Tutorial

Project Recipe:
Stamp sets: Peaceful Wishes
Ink: Blue Bayou, Soft Sky
Paper: Blue Bayou, Soft Sky
Accessories: White ribbon, acetate (overhead projector film), star sequins, 1 3/8 " Square punch, snail adhesive, foam double-sided tape.

Step 1: Using the square Punch, cut out a "window" from a 7 1/2 x 7 1/2cm square of Soft Sky card. Stamp holly branch over the opposite 2 corners in soft sky ink. Next, adhere a 5x5cm piece of acetate to the back of the window.
Step 2: (On the "wrong" side)Using the double-sided foam tape, make a border on all 4 sides of the window (making sure to leave no gaps.) Sprinkle the sequins on the middle of the card you will use for the backing (Blue Bayou- 8x8cm). Peel off the backing of the double-sided tape and position over the sequins-press firmly all around the border.
Step 3: Add a bow-and whatever other pretties you might dream up. I have added a sentiment on the bottom using soft sky in the background, and "Peaceful Wishes" in Blue Bayou ink.

You can make variations of this card for any occasion-there are so many different little "sparkles" out there. I have also included a picture of a little girls birthday card using tiny little flower sequins.

Thanks for that tutorial, Evonne, they are beautiful cards. I especially like the birthday one.
