My gorgeous upline, Katie, made this simply adorable advent calendar which she CASED from Brenda Quintana. I just loved the cuteness of it all, and decided to make one myself using the ever-so-lovely "25 and Counting"stamp set from Stampin' Up! Head over to Brenda's blog for a tutorial on how to make this-but you'd better be quick if you want to make this in time for the 1st of December to start your advent calendar.....I'm still deciding what treats I want to put in the little peek-holes. Hershey kisses work well, but I'm trying to find another wee something.
You make think me crazy-but I like to be prepared.....I like to plod away at making my Christmas cards because it is that time of the year (like no other) when we typically give away a lot of them. So I have started early....
I wanted to try out a few different techniques that typically work out better with a silhouette image. I also am not into Santa-so this lovely silhouette for Christmas from the "Come to Bethlehem" set was a great starting point
So I've made this flip card before-but I made it Christmas-y this time around.
I CASED this beautiful card from Paula Dobson using the bouncing brayer technique
We'll I've been itching to get a bit creative recently-but have been too busy to have a decent chunk of time to be creative. I've been really missing my creative outlet-and have enjoyed getting back into it - I feel sane again!
Lego Racers card I made for one of Sami's special friends
"Forever Young" photo frame wall card
Just had to try out making a swing card using the new Framelits die. I couldn't figure it out by myself-so I found a video tutorial over @ Dawn's stamping Studio I love how easy it is to make, and just a wee bit swish, too...
I totally CASED this beautiful card from Julia Leece. I love this acetate card, and I thought I would give it a try... beautiful design, Julia!
I also CASED this gorgeous male-themed card using "The Open Sea" set from Ann Craig. This is my try at it... A very quick and easy card to make. I have left mine blank, but I am planning on a tag or stamped sentiment addition.
I loved this little girl silhouette from the "Forever Young" stamp set, and wanted to create a card that was a little vintage-y...still playing with this set-so gorgeous!
We also made this 6"x6" scrapbook page using the "Everyday Enchantment" DSP paper and "Fresh Vintage" stamp set from the Sale-a-bration catalogue. The stamp has been embossed with clear Embossing powder, and then sprayed with smooch spritz-but it is hard to see in the photo. This is the original from Vic that I cased
The lovely Vic Chapman also showed us how to make this cute little tri-fold card. I basically CASED her layout, but used different papers. It is so quick and fun to make.
This gorgeous card was CASED from Suzie Lowe's gorgeous gift/paper bag design-I just transferred her design to a card. Making the rosette is always a "Wow" moment as something so simple just falls into place.

The lovely Susie demo'd this gorgeous paper gift bag using some of the new paper and "Fresh Vintage labels" stamp set from the sale-a-bration catalogue. Even more inspiring-she made the bags out of the Stampin' Up! packaging paper that comes in the mail when your goodies arrive!
I've been playing around a wee little bit with the new "Spiced Paisley" stamp set, and "Spice cake DSP and Designer Fabric (which is in the new Summer Mini Catalogue)... I just love the colour combination, and design of these beautiful products.
